Giving their charter customers an unforgettable experience is at the heart of On The Fly Outfitters. Ensuring that each of their clients leaves the boat with a deeper connection to nature.
When Captain Chris Regan and Captain Jimmy Dever are not on charter trips, they can be found traveling and fishing in other areas of the country, learning techniques and tactics that can be adapted to the many sportfish that are offered here in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina.

As a long time outdoorsman, Captain Chris Regan has dedicated most of his life to the outdoors – fishing, hunting, and experiencing everything that mother nature has to offer. Growing up in the Northeast as a child, days were spent in the local rivers and lakes chasing salmon, walleye, bass, and anything else he could get to tug on the line. Fast forward to the last 2 decades, his time has been dedicated to learning and mastering the art of saltwater angling. Well-versed in light tackle and offshore fishing, his true passion is backwater and nearshore fishing with his clients.
Being a family man himself, he knows what it takes to give his clients a memorable day on the water. In addition to being a full-time guide, Captain Chris competes in numerous tournaments all along the Carolina Coast down the the Florida Keys with numerous 1st place finishes and many top 5 finishes. When Captain Chris isn’t guiding, he enjoys spending time with his wife Jenny and passing down the fishing heritage to his daughter Hannah.

Captain Jimmy Dever is a Coastal Carolina graduate from New Jersey that was fishing as soon as he could hold a rod and reel. Coming from a bloodline of fisherman and learning from his father and grandfather, he quickly gained a passion for fishing and the great outdoors. At Coastal Carolina, Jimmy graduated with a degree in finance and was part of the Saltwater Anglers Club where he furthered his fishing career.
He became a mate on an offshore boat where he learned how to successfully bottom fish and troll for different pelagic species. In his free time he would spend his days in the backwaters of Murrells Inlet and Little River learning the inshore species. Jimmy started to compete in many inshore tournaments up and down the Carolina coastline and has had many 1st place finishes as well as many top 5’s.
